A flamboyant world of eclectic and modern furnishings and laidback feels; where open fires, unique artwork and vintage vibes come together in an audacious fusion of style and substance.
Chock-full of personality and enough space for every kind of gathering, from winter get-togethers, family game nights to summer garden parties and everything in between.
Fulmar has 4 doubles (inc 1 twin), all of which have ensuite bathrooms.
Gallery
Every room in Fulmar has personality much like the North Norfolk coast that is jam packed with walks, vistas, great pubs and friendly people.
Floorplan
Fulmar has been designed to cater for multi generational stays and for 4 couples to stay in comfort.
It boasts 4 bedrooms with 4 en-suite bathrooms. Space to entertain and relax has been optimised with a beautiful open kitchen dinning room at the centre of the house, vaulted lounge at the front with massive windows maximising the Norfolk sun and a games room (with Foosball table) at the back of the house to get the competotive juices flowing.
Eat and Drink Thornham
Thornham is a beautiful North Norfolk coastal village. In recent years it has become a hub for new restaurants, shops and the list gets better with new openings. Check the Drove Orchard instagram below with a new Bakery, Wine Shop and Nopa reopening soon.
Thornham Deli
The Deli is a go to for a good breakfast from Full English to the Granola Pot. They also have a good all day menu from comfort food favorites to Salads for all tastes. No booking is required, Summer Weekends can be busy.
The Orange Tree
The Orange Tree is a great pub for food, it is the best for a good gastro pub meal in Thornham. It is table service only so if you want to eat inside we recommend booking. There are lots of benches outside for a lazy afternoon drink.
The Lifeboat Inn
Our menus alter seasonally to take advantage of the fantastic provenance of the local area. From our crab salad in the courtyard throughout the Summer months, to our hearty haddock and chips in front of the fire in winter.
The Chequers
Honest, tasty, and satisfying. It’s the simple pleasures that make a pub feel like home – a laid-back breakfast, a bite with a pint, a proper pie.
We are open all day, every day. Dig into breakfast, brunch and pub favourites followed by our hero, the pie, from 12 noon.
Eric's Fish & Chips
ERIC’S FISH AND CHIPS is situated within the grounds of Drove Orchards on the North Norfolk Coast. Our restaurant provides a relaxed family-friendly dining environment with plenty of outside dining space too.
Drove Orchard
Heritage Orchards, PYO, Farm Shop, Scandi Clothing, Fresh Fish, Pizza, Fish and Chips, Ice cream parlour, Art, Antiques all just outside Thornham.
The White Horse Holme
The White Horse has been refurbished over the last 12 months with a new menu and decor. They have also opened a new Bakery in the old barn which has delicious cakes and great home made bread available. It's a great place to stop and refresh on the Circular walk from Thornham, or a short drive.
The Ship Brancaster
The Ship was taken over by the guys who run Sculthorpe Mill in mid 2025. It's now open and has a great chef who we have had for private dining.
The Crab House Wells
The Crab House looks like a cafe from the outside, but it serves amazing fresh seafood and meat. They also sometimes sell cook at home boxes that can be ordered which are fun.
North Norfolk Cellars Wells
Love this place. It's a lovely location on the edge of Wells harbour. The wine selection is incredible and the recommendations are educated and wallet friendly. They also do some nice nibbles.
It's a great stop post a walk from Holkam Hall, or after shopping Wells!
North Norfolk Wine Cellars
NOPA @ Drove Orchard
Nopa is a seasonal Taco bar that is run by Gurney's the fish monger next door.
The vibe is good and the food and margaritas are super. Give it a go when you see it open.
Nopa
Erics Pizza @ Drove Orchard
Erics is a great Pizza yurt. The bases are crispy and artisan. The spiced honey on top of the Pepperoni is my favorite.
The Nest Farmhouse
The Nest is a swanky colonial style house on the hill with stunning country views. Good for a drink, lunch or dinner.
The Old Bank
They say "The Old Bank is an intimate, family run fine dining restaurant in Snettisham. Owned by 'us' - Aga & Lewis King. Our main aim is to offer modern, fresh and imaginative food, using locally sourced and seasonal produce whenever possible."
Friends have gone and loved it!
Coming Soon.....
There are two new units opening at Droves Orchard this Summer:
- Vinedme is opening in July with their second wine bar.
- The Old Store are opening next door and I am told as well as doing amazing bread and cakes they do the best breakfast in Nofolk!
Our local walks
There are lots of walks directly from Fulmar rain or shine. Alternatively the Coastliner 36 is a great assistant to get you to the start or get those tired legs home.
Wells to the Hero at Burnham Overy
This is one of our favourite walks in Summer or Winter, the the promise of great beer and food when we get to The Hero. It's about a 7 mile walk along the North Norfolk Coastal Path in the dunes, pines and a little piece of the sea defences. As ever the no. 36 Coastliner picks up outside The Hero to wisk you back to Fulmar.

White Horse Holme Circular
The White Horse is a great pub and bakery. This is a circular walk from Fulmar. It's just over 7 miles and you get to see sea, sand, birds, vistas and maybe a few hares or marsh harriers.
Fulmar to The Beach Cafe at Old Hunstanton
The Beach Cafe is an institution on the coast. Their breakfasts are worth the walk. It's about 5 miles (or a 10 mile rtn), to the cafe. If you want to get the bus back simply walk up the hill to the Post Office and there is a No. 36 bus stop right there to get you back to Thornham.

Go see some Seals!
We love seeing the seals on the coast. You can get to them easily from Titchwell nature reserve car park or the Brancaster Beach carpark. It is best to see them at low tide, there are usually 10 to 25 there depending on the time of year.

Fulmar to the the NWT Cafe
If you fancy stretching your legs and getting some sea air with a cream tea, head down to the NWT cafe. it's a 2 mile round trip along the sea defenses that gives a great view of the marshes and beach. Note: (strangley) for Norfolk, they don't allow dogs in the cafe, but they do have benches outside.
